Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2025
Applies to all websites owned and operated by Programify Ltd and downloads delivered via WebLaunch.exe
.
Who we are
Programify Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data processed under this policy. This policy explains how and why we process personal data when you visit our websites or use our small downloader utility WebLaunch.exe
which retrieves and launches one of our installers.
Address: Crown House, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, England, WC1N 3AX • Company No.: 08296145

Scope
- Websites: Informational pages, documentation, and download pages we operate.
- WebLaunch.exe: A lightweight helper that verifies a download URL, fetches the selected installer from our servers, and starts it locally. It is not adware and does not install unrelated software.
Data we collect
When you browse our websites we collect only what is necessary to operate, secure, and measure usage:
- Standard web logs: IP address, user agent, pages visited, referrer, timestamp, and basic error diagnostics.
- Cookies: Our websites do not use cookies.
When you use WebLaunch.exe
we may process:
- Minimal telemetry events: a hashed or transient identifier for the session, selected product/edition, app version of
WebLaunch.exe
, download start/finish status, installer checksum verification result, and error codes (if any). - Network metadata: source IP address and timestamp recorded by our servers for security and anti‑abuse.
- Minimal 3rd party code: When called for the first time, WebLaunch may decide that your Laptop or PC requires the download of Microsoft .NET support libraries in order to run our application software.
We do not collect the contents of files on your device, do not read your clipboard, and do not sell personal data.
Why we process your data (lawful bases)
- Provide the service — to deliver requested downloads, maintain sessions, and operate features (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) – contract or steps prior to contract).
- Security & fraud prevention — to keep our services secure, detect abuse, and ensure download integrity (Art. 6(1)(f) – legitimate interests).
- Analytics & product improvement — strictly aggregated or de‑identified usage trends to improve reliability (Art. 6(1)(f) – legitimate interests).
- Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws and law‑enforcement requests (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Retention
Server logs and WebLaunch.exe telemetry are retained for the minimum time necessary, typically 365 days, unless a longer period is required to investigate an incident or comply with law. Aggregated statistics may be kept longer without identifying information.
Sharing and transfers
- Service providers that host our infrastructure, content delivery, email, or analytics; they process data under contract and only as instructed.
- Security services (e.g., certificate authorities, malware/SmartScreen reputation systems) to verify software integrity and protect users.
- Legal when required to respond to lawful requests or protect our rights, users, or the public.
Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards such as the UK IDTA / EU SCCs.
Your rights
Subject to UK GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@programify.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including TLS for data in transit, signed executables, checksum verification, least‑privilege access controls, and routine patching. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we strive to protect your data.
Children
Our services are intended for use by adults and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Do Not Sell or Share (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross‑context behavioural advertising. California residents may contact us for disclosures applicable under state law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. If the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, a notice on this page) and indicate the new effective date.
